Those "Sneaks" on Park Point Haven't Given Up Yet
Developer Carla Blumberg is appealing the Planning Commission's mid-November
decision to once more give the go-ahead to the builders of a proposed
motel next to the Aerial Bridge. Blumberg owns the Norwegian-style
commercial building that is next-door to the motel project and is suing the
city over its approval of the construction. Blumberg's appeal puts the
contested motel construction back in the lap of the City Council, which will
consider the appeal at a Council meeting in early or mid December (possibly
on December 18-call the City Clerk's office).
What You Can Do
Contact City Council members to let them know what you think of the
construction of this motel next to the Aerial Bridge. Attend the City
Council meeting when this issue comes before Councilors again. And consider
writing a Letter to the Editor.
